I was busy with editing some gpo’s and suddenly saw this option in the gpmc;
gpo update gpmc

It even warned me that there were a lot of computers in that OU;
gpo update gpmc2

Until now, i was always runing “gpupdate /force” from the computer updates, so this is really nice.

I wondered if i failed to notice this for 15 years, but thankfully not as this is the gpmc on a Windows 2008 R2 machine;

The servers are in the same domain with 2008R2 DC’s, so it seems ok if you do your gpo management on a Win12R2 member server. The feature actually creates scheduled tasks and runs them, more details here.
